Infuriated over the 'lethargic' attitude of Union Government towards their demand, Akhil Bhartiya Jat Aarakshan Samiti, which is spearheading the Jat quota movement, has threatened the Union Government to re-launch its stir to siege the Delhi in July if Jats are not accorded the status of Other Backward Classes (OBC).

It was decided in Executive Committee meet of the Samiti held at Chhotu Ram Dharamshala on Sunday. The meeting also decided to Gherao residences of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home Minister P Chidambram.

"The Union Government seems not to be taking any interest to meet our demand. Four months have already passed when the Government assured the Samiti for an early and positive action into the matter," said Hawa Singh Sangwan, State president of the Samiti.
