Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Tuesday described the results of Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand as people’s victory over terrorism and Naxalism.

“The mandate the BJP has got in these States not only reflects the increased popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but also of the party in the entire country,” he said in a statement issues here. The Chief Minister said that after the lok Sabha elections, 2014, the BJP had emerged as the biggest party in Haryana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand and the second largest party in Jammu & Kashmir. The results virtually gagged those leaders and political analysts who used to say that the BJP had no political base or cadre in these States.

“In the times to come, BJP would be the only party in the entire country whose membership will reach 10 crore. In Haryana, we have set the target of enrolling 1,11,111 members on eve of New Year,” he said. Manohar lal said the BJP has achieved grand success under the leadership of the Prime Minister and election management made by BJP chief Amit Shah. The Chief Minister expressed the hope that BJP would form Government with full majority in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections.
