Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday reiterated the State Government’s resolve to ameliorate the conditions in rural areas and take every step to ensure provisioning of all basic amenities. Addressing mediapersons at Chakk Pakhi Village during Sangat Darshan program, Sukhbir said that every village in Jalalabad constituency would be given a facelift which would act as a catalyst for the all over development of rural areas throughout the State.
He announced that sports stadium of Jalalabad would be turned into a centre of excellence for sports and kabaddi world cup-2015 final would be held in Jalalabad which would put the city on world sports map.
Deputy Chief Minister also announced that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would launch a medical health scheme for the poor people at Rupnagar on October 2 under which all blue card holders would be entitled to get treatment in any hospital in the state up to the extent of Rs 30,000. All the blue cards would be made in the span of one month, he added.
