Haryana Urban local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain on Sunday said that Rai in district Sonepat has emerged as one of the preferred destinations for investment in the State along with Gurugram and Faridabad following the ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit-2016’ organised in Gurugram in March 2016.
The Minister, who was addressing a meeting to review the arrangements being made for Chief Minister Manohar lal’s visit to Rai on November 13, said that the visit would prove to be a milestone for development of the area.
She said that the upcoming visit of the Chief Minister would be a big step towards providing all amenities to the region, and the investment which would be made in the area in the coming years would provide employment opportunities to the youth.
Reiterating that the State Government is committed towards ensuring equitable development of all regions of the state, she said that the Government had curbed corruption, especially in tehsils, and streamlined the functioning of various departments by introducing online system.
Member of Parliament, Ramesh Chander Kaushik, and chairperson, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Krishna Gehlawat, also spoke on this occasion.
