PNS

A delegation of Indian National lok Dal (INlD) led by State president Ashok Arora on Friday submitted a memorandum to Governor of Haryana Jagannath Pahadia demanding that the wheat growers of the state be given a wheat bonus of Rs 250 per quintal as the State has been honored with the Krishak Karnam Award for wheat by the Government of India.

Party MlAs and senior leaders said that even a state like Rajasthan was giving a bonus of Rs. 150 per quintal, but Haryana farmers were not given any bonus. INlD delegation included Rampal Majra MlA from Kalayat, Digvijay Singh Chautala, MlA Pardip Choudhry, RS Choudhary, BD Dhalia, MlA Krishan Panwar, , ex MlA Nishan Singh, MlA Narinder Sangwan, MlA Bl Saini, MlA Rajbir Brara, MlA Phool Singh, ex MlA Naffe Singh Rathi, former agriculture  minister Sardar Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, MlA  Mamuram, MlA Kaliram Patwari, MlA Pirthi Singh Numbardar, MlA Dilbag Singh,  MlA Dr. Ashok Kashyap, Ex MlA PS Dabra, Ashok Sherwal, Ram Singh Brar and NS Malhan.

They also reminded that  Bhupinder Singh Hooda had chaired a committee of chief ministers that had recommended to GOI to fix the support price of wheat on the formula of the cost of inputs plus fifty percent of that cost.

Since  Hooda himself  had calculated the input cost at Rs. 1613 per quintal therefore the minimum support price should have been Rs 2400 but ironically he himself has failed to implement his own recommendations.
