Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal on Thursday said that the INlD-SAD combine was “not a simple alliance but an inseparable bond” which would pave the wave for prosperity in Haryana.
Addressing a gathering at Nilokheri in support of INlD candidate Mamu Ram, Sukhbir said that the bond between the two was one like “between real brothers and no one could break it”. “Chaudhary Devi lal and Parkash Singh Badal had always lived among people and had taken each and every community along with them during their long political innings…That is why people have reposed faith again and again in Badal sahab and why they have decided to give a thumping majority to Chautala sahab now,” said Sukhbir.
Outlining how the earlier Congress Government in Punjab had tried to finish Badal family politically by registering false cases against its family members, Sukhbir said: “Congress used the CBI for this task to persecute Chautala family also…Chautala sahab and the INlD had only emerged stronger after this ordeal”.
He said that Haryana was witnessing a wave in favour of INlD and it seemed that INlD-SAD alliance would achieve its ‘Mission 60 Plus’ with ease.
Sukhbir added that Bhupinder Singh Hooda “unfortunately also sold off the interests of the State and its land to keep Robert Vadra, the son in law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi happy”.
