The prominent leaders of BJP, Congress and social workers have expressed “shock and indignation” over the incidents of stone pelting on the Air Force helicopters which were on the mission to rescue flood affected people of Jammu & Kashmir.
BJP MlAs and former Ministers Thakur Gulab Singh, Mahender Singh and Jai Ram Thakur and Congress leaders and former Ministers Rangila Ram Rao and Thakur Natha Singh have condemned the action of “abominable and contemptible” section of the misguided elements, which they suspected, could be extremists and separatists, who had been flourishing on hate India campaign since 1947. They could not digest the praise of the Indian Army and Air Force world wide.
They described the action of these elements as anti-Kashmir and anti-India adding that their behaviour was shameful and unpardonable as they were pelting stones on the Army which rescued thousands of people from the jaws of death at the risk of their lives. Some even laid down their lives for saving the people of Kashmir.
The role of the India Army has been lauded not only at home and abroad, but also by Pakistan which conveyed “Salaam” to the Indian Air Force and Army, they added.
