The controversial Haryana Police recruitment is under scanner again.

After allegations of usage of performance enhancing drugs during the physical examination held in Kurukshetra last month, allegations of irregularities in the police recruitment have been leveled by the unsuccessful candidates.

Following the announcement of results of Physical Screening Test (PST) by Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), more than 100 unsuccessful candidates in the physical test have alleged irregularities in the results declared and demanded that physical exam should be held again.

The unsuccessful candidates who had protested outside the HSSC headquarters a day before, have written to the HSSC chairman to conduct the physical exam again and have also threatened to go to Court if their demands are not met.

While HPSC chairman remained unavailable for the comment, an official of HPSC said that the exam was conducted in a fair manner and there is no possibility of any irregularity. The police recruitment process conducted from June 15 to July 23 remained in controversy as it witnessed deaths of three youth, allegedly due to overdose of performance enhancing drugs.

The physical test was conducted to fill a total of 7200 vacancies in the Police Department.
