Haryana Government has issued orders to look into the cases of misappropriation of funds in social security pensions in the State.
Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Kavita Jain on Sunday said that orders have been issued to look into the cases of misappropriation of funds in social security pensions and the issue is being investigated under the directions of the Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar.
She said that the present Government had received many complaints that a large number of ineligible people were getting such pensions whereas the eligible ones were left out. The department concerned has been asked to submit its report. Strict action would be taken against the erring officials, she added. The department has been directed to give increased pension by February 2015.
She also alleged that the previous Government had already emptied the coffers of the State and the State also had a loan of Rs82,000 crore. looking at the State’s financial position, the State Government formulated a plan to fulfill the party’s promise without putting pressure on financial resources of the State. The financial position of the State is very delicate, she added.
