A day after former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda refuted allegations of his involvement in inciting the violence during Jat agitation 2016, Haryana Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu on Friday launched a scathing attack at Hooda saying that the incidents of violence, loot and arson were pre-planned by the Congress.
Referring to the chargesheet filed by the CBI before a Panchkula court into the attack at his Rohtak residence during the February 2016 Jat reservation stir, Capt. Abhimnayu said that it was a pre-planned political controversy hatched by people associated with the former Chief Minister Hooda.
The CBI charge-sheet filed in the case of violence, arson and loot that took place in February, 2016, had revealed startling facts. It says some people even tried to block the investigations and big leaders and lawyers associated with Congress, were involved in the case, he said.
lashing out at Hooda, the Minister said that the names that figure in the charge-sheet are directly linked to the son of a former minister, MlA and leader of the Congress Party. Those who broke the curfew, violated the orders and were involved in the incidents of violence were linked to Congress and Hooda, he said.
Capt. Abhimanyu further said that Sudip Kalkal, a relative of former Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, talked over the phone about the plan to surround my house. The quarrel of lawyers was also led by Rahul Jain and Sudip Kalkal. Rahul Jain is close to Hooda. In an audio, Sudip Kalkal has been heard saying he received no injury in the quarrel of lawyers and it was all drama.
In Nikkiram College, no youth of Jat community was hurt but lies in this regard were spread to incite violence, he alleged.
Continuing his tirade against the former CM, Abhimanyu said that Hooda would be remembered as a reckless Chief Minister for acquiring land of people, ruining the farmers, and giving them minimum compensation for the damage to the crops due to natural disasters.
When asked to comment on All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) national president Yashpal Malik threats to launch a fresh agitation, Capt Abhimanyu said that Malik is the biggest enemy of Jat community and is responsible for destroying the brotherhood in Haryana.
Both Yashpal Malik and Raj Kumar Saini (BJP Kurukshetra MP) are irresponsible people, he said. An inquiry should have been done to examine the role of all leaders in Jat agitation 2016, he said.
A day before, Malik had threatened to launch a fresh agitation if any of their leaders was arrested by the CBI or the police. His statement came two days after his aide Pawan Hooda was nabbed by the CBI over the case of loot and arson at Captain Abhimanyu’s house during Jat stir.
