PNS

The roadways employees’ unions and Haryana Government are at loggerheads again, this time over the issue of overtime policy for employees.

Following the order by State Government to discontinue the overtime policy for Haryana roadways employees, the unions have now asked the government to allow the employees to work overtime without providing any benefits.

The Haryana Roadways employees' coordination committee in its meeting held at Hisar decided that employees will continue to work overtime till January 5 without taking any benefits under the work overtime policy.

The unions have written to Haryana Transport Department asking them to recruit staff in the Department by January 5 so that the plying of roadways is not affected due to discontinuation of overtime policy.

Transport Minister Krishan Lal Panwar had recently announced that the government  has discontinued the overtime policy for Haryana Roadways employees to ensure safety of passengers.
