Hry CM to meet employees unions

PNS

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar will meet the government employees’ unions on July 20 to listen to their grievances.

The meeting is seen as an attempt to appease the agitating government employees ahead of State Assembly polls due to be held in October.

Notably, the government employee unions in Haryana had been demanded regularization of jobs, restoration of old pension scheme among other demands ahead of the upcoming State Assembly polls.

The employees unions have also announced to hold state-level rally in August or September to raise their long-pending demands and chalk out a plan for agitation.

With regularization of jobs among the major demands being raised by the government employees unions, the State Government had recently announced to scrutinize about 40000 contractual employees for regularization of jobs.

Sarv Karamchari Sangh (SKS) general secretary Subhash Lamba on Thursday said that we have been called for a meeting by the Chief Minister on July 20. Earlier this meeting was scheduled to be held on July 18, he said.

Raising questions on the intent of State Government, he said that Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh which has no significance here, has been called for a meeting on July 17, which raises a doubt whether the government is serious about fulfilling our demands or not.
