Passengers of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses can buy tickets with old Rs500 and Rs1,000 notes till Monday.
State Transport Minister GS Bali said, “As the new currency notes are yet to be made available to all people of Himachal Pradesh, the State Government has decided to accept old Rs500 and Rs1,000 notes from passengers using HRTC bus services to avoid harassment.”
lower denomination currency notes have been made available to all bus conductors, he said. “However, I would request people to purchase tickets online for long journeys,” the Minister said.
