HP BJP leader says Kejri is spreading falsehood in Delhi

Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Shanta Kumar on Wednesday came down heavily on Aam Admi Party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal accusing them of spreading falsehood in the national Capital. Kumar said Kejriwal's act of challenging Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely to arrest him, if he is guilty was a drama as the AAP leader  knows well that India is a democratic country where Rule of law is applicable to all — from a peon to the Prime Minister — and none can be arrested unless due process of law is followed.

The BJP leader said only those trying to commit a cognisable offence are arrested by the police and not at the instance of ministers. "It would not be out of place to compare him (Kejriwal) with Antony, a character in one of dramas of Shakespeare’s Julius Ceaser, who provoked the mob against Brutus, who was otherwise a noble man," Kumar added.

He said the AAP leader was taking for a ride the innocent, illiterate and common people. Shanta said he was making a vile attempt to impress them that he was honest man while the myth of his honesty has already been exploded. Similarly he said it was absurd to ask the Supreme Court to do this thing or that knowing well the apex court did not take cognisance of matters at the behest of politicians without following the laid down procedure.

Shanta kumar, who had been a leading Advocate,  lamented that Kejriwal   was not playing the role of a genuine and matured politicians, but was trying to impress the mobs to cover up his alleged acts of omission and commission. The BJP leader said he had strong suspicion about the veracity of the costly dinners and tea parties hosted by Kejriwal and these could be an another ploy to generate fake funds. The lists of guests should also be properly scrutinised to arrive at the truth, he suggested.
