Hooda still CM in some Haryana websites

At the time when the Haryana Government is invariably busy in announcing ambitious projects like ‘Digital Haryana’, ‘e-PMS’ (projects management system) among others to keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies, few Government websites have even failed to replace the images of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.Surprisingly, the websites of Departments and Corporations in Haryana are so poorly managed that it has even failed to replace the pictures of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda with incumbent of Manohar lal Khattar.

After serving two terms as the Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda had on October 19 tendered his resignation to Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki.Although Manohar lal Khattar was sworn-in as the Chief Minister on October 26 last year, he still finds no place on the official website of Haryana Government Development Corporation ltd. and Haryana Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation (HSCFDC).A photo of former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda is greeting visitors on the home page of websites of these two Corporations.

As the name suggests, these two are important Corporations in Haryana and on top of that, the State Government issues press statements about the functioning of the same frequently. While Haryana Government Development Corporation promotes activities for the welfare, development and advancement of women, Haryana Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation provides loan and benefits to identified Scheduled Castes for various income generating schemes.Apparently, the tech-savvy BJP led Haryana Government seems to be oblivious of the fact that the former Congress' Chief Minister is still visible on official websites of some government organizations.

Apart from this, many websites of State Government's Department has not been updated from many past months. The websites of key Departments like Environment, Employment, Fisheries, Forests and Wildlife among others are not updated regularlyEven the website of Directorate of Information, Public Relations & Cultural Affairs, which is the nodal Department to disseminate government's information among people and various organizations, is not updated on daily basis.

After coming to the power in October last, the BJP Government in Haryana has announced a series of e-governance initiatives. The State Government has infact gone into overdrive to endorse e-governance aimed at ensuring efficient, transparent and accountable government. The announcements include 'Digital Haryana', 'e-services', e-PMS, Aadhaar enabled biometric attendance system (AEBAS), Adhaar linked birth registration, website for complete database of sportspersons, making patients records online on website for ultrasound centres, and many more.
