The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet met on Friday under the chairmanship of chief minister Jai Ram Thakur and took a slew of decisions
* Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) would be national partner for the proposed ‘Himachal Pradesh Investors Summit-2019’ to promote investment in the State being organized on 10-11 June, 2019 at Dharamshala
*Directorate of Disaster Management to be created to support the H.P. Disaster Management Authority
* Ropeway and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation in the State to be created under the control of Transport Department to oversee the implementation of all the ropeways and Mass Rapid Transportation System project.
* Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Himachal Pradesh Amendment Bill), 2018 to be brought to make the offences related to drug abuse more stringent.
* Outsource 2322 employees from outsourcing agency to man 517 drinking water and irrigations schemes of Irrigation and Public Health Department.
* Purchase 13 Bolero vehicles one each for every police district of the State under national Emergency Response System for tackling emergent situations.
