Punjab Government on Monday issued orders to all health mobile teams to ensure tertiary level treatment services to sick children within stipulated time as per guidelines set under the “Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakrarm”.
Issuing the instructions, the state Health and Family Welfare Minister Brahm Mohindra said that confirmation of preliminary findings, referral support, management and follow up of screened children are key factors of the RBSK.
“It has been learnt that parents of the children, who were confirmed cases of neuro-motor impairment and other serious diseases, would be counseled to commence the treatment of their children as early as possible and it is also the responsibility of health teams to motivate them,” he said.
