Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Surjit Jiyani has decided to visit all the Government hospitals across the State to know their conditions and improve the services from the next week.
State Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Vini Mahajan on Tuesday directed all the Civil Surgeons, Senior Medical Officers (SMOs) and hospital staff to ensure proper cleanliness of premises, wards and other areas as well as proper greenery outside hospitals within seven days.
“Senior officials of the Health Department as well as the Health Minster himself would start visiting the hospitals in the State from next week," she said.
In this regard, Mahajan said that funds have been made available to SMOs for making arrangements regarding special cleanliness drive in Government hospitals of the State.
