To bring efficiency in its working, Haryana Government will be organizing training programmes from time-to-time for the officers and employees of all Departments, under the supervision of senior administrative secretaries, by the state-run training institutes.
Apart from this, the year-long training schedule should be prepared and released by the training institutes and training should be made compulsory for all, said the state Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Monday while presiding over a meeting with the Administrative Secretaries.
Kaushal said that all the departments running training institutes should establish mutual coordination and provide training to the employees and officers in specialized subjects. Presently, 30 departments are running such institutes.
The Chief Secretary said that a steering committee for the training of administrative secretaries should be constituted. After studying the training policy of the state, this committee should submit its suggestions for better training in 15 days.
Apart from this, the committee also regularly monitored the training being organized. “For good governance and effective governance, it is essential to make arrangements for responsible and ethical training of officers and employees in the State so that there is a change in their official functioning and they can become good citizens as well as good officers and employees,” said Kaushal.
He said that such training programmes will significantly improve the functioning of the officers and the employees and they will do better work in their departments for the betterment of the public. All training institutes should prepare a framework and implement it systematically, he directed.
