The Haryana Government has decided to confer on chief pharmacists working in the Health Department the status of Group-B gazetted officers. “This would encourage them to deliver more, said Health Minister Anil Vij on Thursday.
He said that the Chief Minister Manohar lal had approved the proposal. Now, chief pharmacists posted in the districts would work as gazetted officers.
Notably, a delegation of Pharmacists Association had recently called on Vij and made the demand. Taking immediate action, the Department initiated the proceedings and got the needful done.
The Health Minister said that chief pharmacists, who are posted in the districts, were entrusted with many responsibilities.
They are also members of the committee constituted for the purchase of medicines and other items. looking at their responsibilities, the State Government has honoured this post, said Vij adding that he would always fulfill the genuine demands of the employees of his department.
