Haryana Health and Ayush Minister Anil Vij on Thursday said that a proposal to bring the pay-scales of Ayurvedic doctors of the State on par with Ayurvedic practitioners in other States is being considered and positive results are expected.
Vij was speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed pyramid-shaped conference and training hall built at a cost of Rs 2.2 crore at the Directorate of Ayush, Panchkula, near here. The roof of the hall has been constructed at an angle, which will help infuse fresh energy in those who do yoga and meditation.
On the occasion, the Minister directed the officers to depute adequate staff in the pyramid hall so that maximum people could benefit.
“Those who perform sadhana in such shaped chambers have the least effect of ultraviolet rays coming from the sun, and the circulation of energy in the body is ideal. In our country, such cells and temples have been practiced since times immemorial. These sustain the balance of all elements of nature,” he said.
Ayush wing is being established at all health centres in the State. Ayurveda, which is an ancient lifestyle, has been associated with human being’s routine for maximum benefit. People have been using tulsi, turmeric and cinnamon as medicines for ages, but today there is a race abroad for getting them patented, he added.
While expressing his gratitude to the Health Minister, MlA Gian Chand Gupta said first Ayurvedic Centre of the country was being established in Panchkula at a cost of Rs 500 crore.
