PNS

Two students of Haryana saved the life of a camel and were appreciated by Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki for their sense of compassion.

The children — students of English International School  in Gokalpur, Rewari — saved the life of a camel by intervening when the owner was not feeding the animal to claim Government compensation.

A case has been registered against the owner of the camel  for his act of cruelty against the animal who is considered to be the ship of the desert.

These two students Yogender Kumar and Dhruv Rao called on Solanki at Raj Bhawan on Thursday. They were accompanied by chairman, People For Animal (Haryana unit), Naresh Kadiyan and their teacher Khazan Singh Yadav.

Appreciating the efforts of the students, Solanki said that our culture propagates the message of love and

compassion. Such noble cause leads to build a strong

character, he added.

Yadav informed the Governor that the owner of the camel Mahender Singh had not been giving any food or water to the camel for the last 15 days so as to get claim on the death of the animal. While on their way to school daily, both Yogender and Dhruv used to see the camel starving.

They informed the Principal of the School, Bindu Yadav about cruelty against animal being committed

by a person.

He contacted Chairman, People For Animal (Haryana unit), who while acting swiftly got a case registered against the owner of the camel at Police Station, Ateli and also got the camel admitted to a veterinary hospital at Sadhrana.
