Continuing the sex ratio of 2017 under the National Programme of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Haryana has maintained the same figure in 2018 according to which the sex ratio is 914 girls per 1,000 boys.
Giving details, nodal officer, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Rakesh Gupta said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had launched the BBBP from Panipat on January 22, 2015, which has started yielding positive results.
He said that under this Programme, there has been significant improvement in sex ratio in Haryana.
He said that after launch of the Programme, a Special Secretariat was established following the orders of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal and concrete steps were taken for the success of the Programme. Under these steps, the PC-PNDT Act and MTP Act were implemented strictly and about 650 FIRs were got registered against those found guilty, he said.
