Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Friday directed the officers concerned to ramp up testing for COVID-19 to prevent a sudden surge of cases.
“It should be ensured that the testing rate doesn’t decline. A close watch needs to be kept on early signs of a surge in active cases or high positivity rates. Also, it needs to be ensured that the COVID guidelines are adhered to in true spirit, he said during a video conference held to oversee the preparedness for combating third wave of COVID-19 with the Civil Surgeons, Deputy Commissioners and Superintendent of Police .
Vij said that to ward off the anticipated third wave of Covid-19, Haryana Government is laying emphasis on four-fold strategy i.e. Test-Track-Treat-Vaccination for effective COVID management and adherence of COVID appropriate behaviour.
