Haryana Government has decided to refer the CD row, which has been raising a storm in the assembly for past few days of the monsoon session, to lokayukta for further investigation, said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The Chief Minister speaking in the House on the second day of the Vidhan Sabha session on Monday said that it is now up to the lokayukta to bring out the truth before the people of the State and added that whosoever is found guilty would not be spared.
Six Congress legislators namely Ram Kishan Fouji, Vinod Bhayaina, Naresh Selwal, Ram Niwas Ghorela, Jaleb Khan, Jarnail Singh and Gaurav, son of MlA Sampat Singh were allegedly shown taking money for granting ClU in CD’s released by the INlD leaders.
However, several legislators who have been shown in the ‘CDs’ said that they will file criminal and defamation cases against the INlD leaders.
On the other hand, the Congress legislators have said that they are ready to go through the litmus test in the alleged CD row. They added that they are ready for any punishment and will resign from their post if found guilty.
After receiving clarification from the alleged legislators, Hooda said that the manner, in which the Opposition have released the CD to the media on the first day of the session shows that it was well staged conspiracy to defame the State Government and to betray the people of the State.
The Chief Minister challenged the Opposition and questioned there motive by saying that if they really had evidence of bribery, the opposition should have approached the lokayukta. He showed his displeasure on the leaders who are involved in cases of disproportionate assets for raising fingers on others.
The main Opposition party INlD is being blamed for releasing the CD to disrupt the functioning of the House as they were aware that the committee constituted to examine the properties owned in the name of Ch. Devi lal Trust was to be tabled in the House, alleged Congress.
Earlier MlAs namely Ram Kishan Fouji, Vinod Bhayaina, Naresh Selwal, Prof Sampat Singh, Ram Niwas Ghorela, Jaleb Khan and Jarnail Singh submitted their clarifications in the House and demanded that the whole issue be investigated.
While referring to the allegations leveled by the legislature of BJP Kavita Jain that a large number of licenses for ClU were issued in the tenure of present State Government. the Chief Minister said, “Granting of large number of licenses reflects the pace of development of the State.”
He went on to attacking the BJP MlA blatantly by saying that the State Government has issued ClU to Mahavir Trust Sonipat, in which the husband of BJP MlA Kavita Jain is one of the trustees.
Similarly, nephew of former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala has also been issued ClU. These leaders should clarify as to how much money they have paid in lieu of these ClUs, alleged Hooda.
