Haryana Government will launch the cashless medical facility for its employees from November 30 onwards.

Health Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday said the much-awaited cashless medical facility will be launched in Haryana from November 30 and will provide cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh for six chronic diseases to all the regular employees and pensioners of the State Government.

Vij said this decision has been taken keeping in view the long pending demand of Sarv Karamchari Sangh. Initially, cashless medical facility would be applicable to the employees, pensioners but spouse or dependents will not be covered. However, reimbursement facility for the dependents of the staff would be continued. This facility would be available in all 67 Government hospitals, medical colleges and empanelled hospitals, said the Minister.

He said in these hospitals, employees and pensioners would not have to pay medical bills of up to Rs 5 lakhs.

The Minister said that to avail this facility, all the departments would have to issue aadhaar enabled identity Cards and PPO numbers of pensioners so that patients could not face any difficulty at the time of treatment. Apart from this, the departments would also have to upload list of their employees and pensioners on their website. The cashless medical facility would be provided for cardiac, brain hemorrhage, electric shock, Coma, accidents and ¾ stage of cancer. This would also include important facilities like CT scan, MRI, dialysis and Cardiac cath lab, he said.

Vij further said for this, private empanelled hospitals would have to appoint a separate help centers and a nodal officer, who would exchange the patient bills in the concerned departments. These hospitals will be paid in 60 days of receipt of bills.

In addition, all the departments have to set up a separate wing under the supervision of the nodal officer, which will simplify the process of payment of bills received from hospitals, he added.
