Seeking to promote Haryana as a global destination for investment, Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar on Friday said the State Government is taking steps to set up an international airport in Hisar which will cater to the need of the state’s western districts.
After launching an e-Biz portal to facilitate investment in Haryana, Khattar on Friday at New Delhi said the state’s proximity to Delhi is an advantage and some of its southern districts are also close to the international airport in the national capital.
The Chief Minister said that there are other districts in the north which are close to the airport in Chandigarh. We have also begun moving forward so that there is a new international airport at Hisar in the western part of the state.
He said that the State Government would provide additional facilities for setting up of mega projects of over Rs 100 crore in Haryana under the new Enterprises Promotion Policy-2015. This would not only ensure industrial development in the state, but also generate ample employment opportunities for the youth, said he.
Talking about the e-Biz portal, he said that the portal has been launched to quickly resolve the queries of investors and provide online clearances for setting up new industrial units under one roof. Initially, 45 services of 14 departments have been taken up in the first phase and these would be increased later on.
The e-Biz Portal has been developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) Haryana.
Manohar lal said with the introduction of the e-Biz portal, the investors would be able to obtain first stage clearances within maximum time limit of 30 days. Apart from this, it has been decided to introduce three-tier grievance redressal system through the portal in order to facilitate the existing industrial units in the State.
He said that this system would be cost effective and time saving for the investors and also eliminate physical interface.
The Chief Minister said that in order to provide assistance to those who face difficulty in operating the online portal, an office would be set up on the premises of Haryana Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation (HSIIDC) for the time being. The applicants can visit this office to get their queries resolved. Officers of all departments concerned would remain present in these offices at least once or twice week.
He said that if the department concerned is not able to provide the required approval within the prescribed time frame, then it would be deemed as approved.
Apart from this, all the departments concerned would appoint nodal officers, who would inform the applicant about any deficiencies in the application form. Moreover, the applicants would be sent regular SMS alerts on their mobile phones about the status of their cases.
On the occasion, Haryana Industries Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, said that the launch of the e-Biz portal is merely a beginning and many more such projects aiming to provide ease of doing business are in the pipeline.
