Property owners in municipal areas of Haryana may pay their property tax dues and arrears for the years 2010-11 to 2016-17 with one-time rebate of 15 per cent by July 14 this year.
One-time waiver of interest on the arrears of property tax would be allowed to all tax payers if their arrears are paid by August 31, said Urban local Bodies Minister, Kavita Jain.
She said that one per cent rebate would also be given if the payment of property tax is made online.
Jain said that exemption of 25 per cent was being given to those property owners who clear all the property tax dues and arrears.
As the scheme was receiving overwhelming response from the people, Chief Minister Manohar lal has approved to extend the scheme, she said.
Apart from this, one per cent rebate was given if the payment of property tax is made online.
Municipality officers had been directed to inform the people about this decision so that they could avail the benefit of exemption, she added.
