PNS

Haryana Director General of Police, Yash Pal Singal on Monday directed all Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police in every district of the State to maintain utmost vigil on the eve of New Year.

The New Year celebrations attract a large number of revelers in major towns and specifically in the cities and sub-urban areas of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Rohtak, Hisar and Panchkula.

Pubs and bars in some towns attract large crowds from nearby areas even during late hours of night.

To maintain law and order, the officers have been directed to depute maximum force on foot patrolling, mobile patrolling, naka duties, stationary duties, etc at the crowded places, markets, malls, resorts, pubs, bars etc.

Hooligans would not be allowed to indulge in outraging the modesty of women, eve-teasing, misbehaving etc. If anybody is found indulging in such activities, strict action would be initiated against that person.

Besides, adequate traffic arrangements would be made at all traffic junctions and important roads to ensure smooth flow of traffic. Strict legal action would be taken against drunken driving. Alcho-sensors would be used for detecting drunken driving as well as against hooliganism and drunken brawls. Compliance of Motor Vehicle Rules would be ensured.

Maximum personnel would be pulled out from the non-operational duties and deployed on law and order and traffic duties. Intelligence network would be geared up and necessary preventive action may be taken if required. Senior officers including the CsPs and district SsPs would personally supervise all security and traffic arrangements.
