PNS

The Haryana Chief Minister Manohar will hold periodic interaction with representatives of various sections of the society to be in touch with them and take their suggestions on improvements in the functioning of the State Government.

The Chief Minister has identified seven such sections of the society to begin with. These are progressive farmers, patwaris, school teachers, traders, representatives of the micro, small and medium enterprises, doctors and advocates. He has directed the Deputy Commissioners to identify one person from each section in every Assembly segment in consultation with the elected representatives.

The directions were issued while the CM was interacting with all DCs at a video-conference to review the arrangements made for the ‘Good Governance Day’ to be celebrated in all districts on Thursday. This is the first time that a CM held a video-conference with DCs, that began at 8 pm in the evening and lasted over two hours. The CM directed the DCs to set up the CM Window to be inaugurated on December 25 at the main entrance of the mini-secretariat to make it easily approachable to the people.

They were also asked to involve Ministers, MPs, MlAs, PRIs and other public representatives in the other inaugural activities such as the Swachchh Haryana Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan, e-registration of land deeds, completion of mutations and distribution of pension through banks etc.Stressing the need for showing zero tolerance to corruption, he asked the DCs to motivate people to pay power bills regularly and hold Gram Sabha meetings more often, preferably on a quarterly basis,  to ensure participation of people in the development process of villages and also directed that meetings be video-graphed.

The CM asked all DCs to remain in office from 11 am to 12 noon every day to redress the grievances of people. He also gave direction that class I officers should adopt one village each besides making periodic visits to villages. The Deputy Commissioners informed the Chief Minister that all arrangements had been made for launch of various programmes on ‘Good Governance Day’ including time bound follow-up on other issues.
