Haryana CM in Zirakpur: “People of Punjab See a Ray of Hope in PM Modi’s Leadership”

PNS

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday asserted that the people of Punjab, disillusioned by successive state governments, now see a beacon of hope in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Saini, addressing a gathering of dignitaries and citizens at a grand felicitation ceremony in Zirakpur, said that whenever he engages with the youth and farmers of Punjab, he sensed deep trust in PM Modi’s vision. “The youth of Punjab are ready to walk hand-in-hand with the Prime Minister toward a brighter future. They are eager for change,” he said.

“In the past 10 years, PM Modi has not only raised India’s stature on the world stage but has also given the country a renewed identity. Today, both India and Haryana are steadily progressing under his dynamic leadership,” said Saini after he was honoured by representatives of various Punjab-based organizations for his governance and visionary leadership.

Drawing a sharp contrast between Haryana and Punjab, Saini highlighted how Haryana’s farmer-friendly policies have made a tangible difference. “Since BJP came to power in Haryana in 2014, we have ensured procurement of every crop at Minimum Support Price (MSP). We have suggested this model to Punjab, but the present government has failed to adopt it,” he said.

He declared that once BJP forms the government in Punjab, it will guarantee MSP procurement on the lines of Haryana. “Just like in Haryana, the respect and income of Punjab’s farmers will not be compromised. We will ensure timely procurement and direct compensation in case of crop damage,” Saini asserted.

To reinforce the point, he shared figures comparing compensation to farmers: “Congress governments gave only Rs 1,155 crore as crop damage relief over 10 years, whereas BJP in Haryana has disbursed Rs 14,500 crore in the same period.”

Describing Haryana as once the “younger brother” of Punjab, Saini said that the tables have turned. “Today, Haryana is moving ahead of Punjab in development. Our progress rate is three times faster—thanks to the public welfare policies of the BJP government,” he said.

He promised that the day a BJP-led Government comes to power in Punjab under the leadership of PM Modi, similar rapid development will begin in the state.

Highlighting the success of BJP’s health schemes in Haryana, Saini informed that over 20 lakh patients have availed free medical treatment worth Rs 6,500 crore under Ayushman Bharat and Chirayu Yojanas. “We have implemented PM Modi’s announcement of free healthcare for all citizens above 70 years of age. So far, 12,000 senior citizens have benefited,” he said.

He further noted that Ayushman Bharat benefits are now being extended in Delhi as well, after the BJP committed to it in their campaign. “This is proof that BJP delivers on its promises,” he said.

Speaking about India’s economic trajectory, Saini said: “Back in 2014, Modi vowed to make India the fifth-largest economy in the world. Today, we are well on track to become the third-largest economic power by 2027.”

He praised the Central Government’s push for infrastructure, manufacturing, digital economy, and global diplomacy, saying these initiatives have made India a formidable global force.

As the event concluded, Saini made an emphatic appeal to the people of Punjab: “You’ve placed your trust in various parties over the years, but it is time to bring in a BJP-led Government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Only then will every citizen — farmer, worker, youth, and the poor—truly benefit from the central government’s pro-people policies.”

The felicitation ceremony witnessed the presence of senior leaders including former Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and Patiala’s former MP and former Union Minister Preneet Kaur, along with prominent representatives from Punjab-based social and cultural organizations. The event showcased a growing camaraderie between Haryana’s leadership and Punjab’s grassroots stakeholders — indicating BJP’s growing outreach ahead of upcoming electoral battles.

Haryana Govt Committed to Promote Kurukshetra’s Cultural Legacy Worldwide: CM

Kurukshetra: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday reaffirmed the government’s resolve to globally promote the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Dharmakshetra – Kurukshetra, the sacred land where Lord Krishna delivered the divine teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Saini, speaking at a vibrant event organized by the Kurukshetra Administration and the Kurukshetra Development Board at the Brahma Sarovar Aarti Sthal, said that efforts such as the International Gita Mahotsav aim to take the timeless message of the Gita across the world.

The occasion saw a grand Maha Aarti performed for the well-being of the people of Haryana. Saini, along with Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan and former Minister of State Subhash Sudha, honoured members of a foreign delegation by presenting them with portraits of Lord Krishna in his divine form.

More than 27 delegates from 13 countries are participating in the 36th International Training Programme, touring Haryana’s historical sites and engaging in dialogues centered on the state’s cultural vibrancy. “Their visit will help amplify the spiritual and cultural significance of Kurukshetra globally and boost Haryana’s tourism potential,” said the Chief Minister.

He added that the delegation’s participation in the Brahma Sarovar Maha Aarti gave them a first-hand experience of Kurukshetra’s sacred aura.

In response to a media query, Saini also informed that instructions were issued two days ago for a prompt damage assessment following the recent severe storm in the state. He said that officials have been directed to submit a detailed report and probe the causes of fire incidents, after which necessary government action will follow.
