Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has appointed its nine top officers to act as relationship manager in 20 different sectors so as to facilitate those investors who are keen to set up  businesses in the State.

The State Industries and Commerce Minister, Capt Abhimanyu on Thursday said that these relationship managers would be responsible for handholding the potential investors in terms of providing options for finding the locations for their plants; helping them to obtain various clearances from HSIIDC and also from other Departments of the State Government; guiding and advising them to obtain necessary permissions and clearances from the Central Government; pursue investments in their respective fields and attract them for fresh investments in Haryana.

He said that Haryana is also organising the roadshows in various metro cities to attract the investment in the state. The curtain raiser and the first road show was held in New Delhi in December 2015 and the second road show was organised in Kolkatta in January 2016.

Now, the remaining roadshows are being organized in Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore in coming days. All these metro cities are being targeted to generate maximum investments in the State. Prominent citizens, media and relevant trade bodies have been invited for the road shows, said he.

Capt Abhimanyu said that this will be an effective platform for promoting Haryana by showcasing the immense industrial potential of the state as industrialization holds the key for fostering economic growth, creating employment and ushering in prosperity to the people. These road shows will be followed by the final event ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit-2016’ being held in Gurgaon on March 7 and 8.

These events aim at projecting Haryana as preferred investment destination and attract both domestic and global investments, he added.

The Minister said that Haryana Government has recently come out with a path breaking “Enterprises Promotion Policy-2015”. This policy envisions GDP growing at a rate higher than eight per cent, an investment of Rs one lakh crore, employment generation for more than four lakh persons and also to position Haryana as a pre-eminent investment destination.

This entire exercise has been done to achieve this target at the earliest. In an atmosphere where all the states are competing against each other for attracting investments, the role of business facilitation becomes crucial, he added.

Managing Director, HSIIDC Sudhir Rajpal, said that these relationship managers have been given various sectors   and have been asked to put-up a fortnightly report regarding the progress made in their fields on regular basis.
