Harsimrat lashes out at UPA Govt

PNS

Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Saturday accused the Congress-led UPA Government for sticking to its ‘post independence anti-Punjab resolve’ by shifting ‘Cashless Treatment of Road Accident Victims Scheme’, a pilot project, from Punjab to Rajasthan and said that this discriminatory act of Congress led UPA Government has again exposed its anti-Punjab face.

Reacting on the shifting of this scheme to Rajasthan, Harsimrat Badal said that this decision of Congress led UPA Government was shocking that earlier it had chosen Punjab for country’s first-ever cashless treatment scheme for road accident victims but shifted to other state without any consultation.

She said that Union Surface Transport Ministry had also given its nod for the launch of project on the ‘Amritsar-Pathankot National Highway’ (NH-15) and the Ministry had also taken a final meeting in this regard at Amritsar last year.

lashing out at Congress for sabotaging the interests of Punjab, the MP described this shifting as a political gambit of Union Government in view of ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections in Rajasthan. She said that in coming Vidhan Sabha elections in various states and in General Election countrymen will show the door to the Congress.
