Harpath app for road repair complaints in Haryana

PNS

Haryana Government has developed a unique Harpath App to resolve any complaint regarding broken roads or pits on roads in Gurugram district.

This was informed by Rakesh Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, at a review meeting held here on Wednesday through video-conferencing.

Giving details of the App, he said any person would be able to download it from Google Playstore on his mobile. It can be downloaded in I-phone as well in android-based phones.

A unique feature of this app is that it has all roads throughout Haryana geo-tagged. One needs to get oneself registered on this app after downloading. Once registered, one would be able to click the photograph of the damaged road and upload the complaint provided the GPS is on at that time.

One can also check the status of his or her complaint after uploading which would be resolved within next ten days. First three days are given for acknowledgement of the complaint and further seven days for resolving it, said he.

A special campaign is being launched in all districts for  creating awareness among the people about this app. Knowledge is also imparted to keep their areas clean in association with  municipalities. Once the photo is uploaded, it would be the responsibility of the Municipal Corporation or Municipal Committee to do the needful, said Gupta.

He congratulated the Gurugram district administration for being the best district in social media grievances tracker. Any complaint received on social media now takes on an average 31 hours 38 minutes to resolve as compared to 70 hours earlier, he added.
