A 60 kwp Grid tied Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant at Government Sr Sec. School, Dhanas UT Chandigarh was inaugurated by Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary (Env, Forests and Science & Technology), UT Chandigarh. He also inaugurated a Herbal Garden Nursery and planted “Tulsi” sapling.
The nursery has more than 40 varieties of medicinal plants.The function was also attended by Santosh Kumar, CCF & Director (Science & Tech), Birendra Choudhary, DCF, Arpana, IFS, ACF and Ravinder Singh, Project Director, and Principal of the School and other Senior Officers/officials of Chandigarh Administration.
Santosh Kumar informed that 60 kwp Grid tied Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant Project has been installed with a total cost of `59.28 lac that includes operation & maintenance charge for ten years.
The Plant shall be able to generate 78,000 kwh (units) per year.
