Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said that the State Government is providing numerous employment opportunities to the youth, enabling them to lead lives with dignity.

Khattar, during his visit to Karnal, addressed a large gathering at the community center of Ward No 18 and also directly interacted with the people and assured them of swift resolution of their issues. He emphasized that the Haryana Government will increase job opportunities for the youth and provide financial support for the education of underprivileged children to ensure they receive quality education.

Moreover, medical colleges are being established in each district to enhance healthcare services. He highlighted that the Haryana Government has provided employment to numerous youths through skill development programs and offered regular jobs to thousands of youths.

The Government has implemented a new system in Haryana, allowing people to access government services and welfare schemes online from the comfort of their homes. Now, senior citizens aged 60 and above receive an old-age allowance within a month based on their family identity cards. The process of obtaining BPL (Below Poverty Line) ration cards has also been streamlined online.

Additionally, the Haryana Government has introduced pension schemes for widowers and unmarried.

Khattar also highlighted the remarkable progress of ensuring uninterrupted power supply in the state, with 5600 villages now receiving 24-hour power supply compared to just 150 villages before 2014. Additionally, a comprehensive road network connects every district to the National Highway and over 375 flyovers have been constructed, dramatically reducing travel time.

Directs to Expedite Work of Rectifying Errors of Property IDs

Chief Minister, presiding over a review meeting of the ULB Department at Karnal Municipal Corporation office, said that monthly house meetings should be held in every municipal corporation and every councilor should get an opportunity to raise their ward issues. He suggested that it would be even better if a date is fixed for the meeting.

He directed the officers of the Urban Local Bodies Department that not only in Karnal, but across the state, the work of rectifying errors in property ID should be expedited. Khattar also appealed to the general public that those who have not self-certified themselves on the portal of Property ID, they must self-certify their properties.

“All councilors should prepare a list of works for the development of their wards, complete these works as soon as possible. No work of water, sewerage, street, drain should remain incomplete in any ward. There is no dearth of budget with the government,” he said, adding that the municipal

corporations should first spend their budget, and if needed, the government will ensure additional funds.

Approved Colonies to be Notified Soon

Khattar said that according to the records, the work of approving all the unapproved colonies across the state is moving at a fast pace. The work of approving 36 colonies of Karnal, which come under the Municipal Corporation, is under progress. He said that the colonies of the state which are to be approved will be notified soon.
