Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Tuesday said that his Government does not believe in regionalism and all areas of the State were getting equal attention of the Government in terms of development.

Addressing a public meeting at Balghar in Chopal Assembly segment, he said that the State had achieved tremendous development in all sectors and today Himachal Pradesh was not only a leading hill State but was also ahead in various sectors in the category of big States as well.

The Chief Minister said BJP was making unnecessary hue and cry over the opening of new schools and colleges in the State which was unnecessary as the BJP leaders should realise that it was the State Government who was providing funds for opening and making these institutes functional. He said majority of schools and colleges had been opened in remote and far-flung areas to facilitate the youth especially girl child in getting education near to their homes.

Singh laid foundation stones and inaugurated the developmental works amounting to over 30 crores for the Chopal constituency from Balghar.
