Haryana Government on Monday directed that State roadways to ensure free travel facility to girl students’ otherwise strict action would be taken against the concerned employees.
Transport Minister said that no driver or conductor of state roadways will neither misbehave with any girl student of a school nor would they refuse such girls to board the bus during to and fro journey to school and would also not ask for their tickets.
In case they were found indulged in such practices, they would be immediately suspended and invite disciplinary action against themselves, said Panwar.
The Minister issued these orders when his attention was drawn by some girl students of a school that a bus driver did not stop the bus at village Khandra on Monday.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, the Minister immediately rang up the general manager roadways, concerned and directed him to warn the driver and the conductor as such misbehavior would not be tolerated in future.
He said that as per the directions of the Chief Minister Manohar lal, free travel facility has been introduced for girl students in the State.
The Minister added that instructions have been issued to the officials of Transport Department to behave properly with women and senior citizens.
