Wood-based industrial (WBI) units would be set up in Haryana. For this, Haryana Forest Department has invited online applications for getting new licence or registration to set up WBI units, said a spokesman of Forest Department.
The applicant could apply for getting new license or registration of wood based industries in six categories including Saw Mill, Veneer Mill, Plywood Unit, Stand alone Chipper, Stand alone Slicer and Stand alone Press. Details about minimum and maximum number of various machinery under each category could be obtained from the Department’s website and applications could be filed by July 9.
The spokesman said that only one application could be submitted in each category. If an applicant wants to apply for license in more than one category, in that case, the application has to be submitted separately in each category.
Applicant has to deposit 20 per cent of the amount of ‘one time payment’ in each category in the form of earnest money. The detail with regard to earnest money and processing fee could also be obtained from the website, said he.
On being successful to receive a license either through draw of lots or otherwise, he said that the applicant would be issued a letter of offer. Each successful applicant on receipt of letter of offer has to deposit the remaining 80 per cent amount to the relevant category of wood based industry within a period of one month from the issue of letter of offer.
The interested applicant could approach the office of divisional forest officer in the concerned districts and take the help in submitting the application in online mode.
