A 1984-riot victim, Nirpreet Kaur, ended her fast in the presence of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, his son and SAD chief Sukhbir Badal among others on Wednesday in New Delh.
On hunger strike since May 3, Nirpreet was staging her protest against the acquittal of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar by the Delhi court in 1984-riot case. Her hunger strike entered fifth day on Wednesday.
Nirpreet accepted a glass of juice by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Manjit Singh to break her hunger strike.
Badals, along with Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, Youth Akali Dal chief and Cabinet minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the SAD leaders also lead massive dharna by the party workers at New Delhi to expresses solidarity with Nirpreet Kaur.
