BJP-led Haryana Government would soon start the construction work of vyayaamshalas and yogshalas in the State under its sports policy. Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij on Monday said that the first phase construction work of vyayaamshalas and yogshalas in 50 villages of the State would be initiated soon.
The Sports Minister said that Yog Guru Baba Ram Dev has been made the Brand Ambassador for the promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda in the State and all PTI teachers would be trained under him to further impart training to the citizens of Haryana.
The notification to appoint Swami Ram Dev as the brand ambassador would be released soon, he added. Vij said that Deputy Commissioners concerned have been issued necessary directions. In Yogshalas, arrangements would be made to impart training of Yoga to children, youth, elders and women of villages so that every individual could take lessons in yoga and adopt in their day to day life.
About ambitious project of ‘Herbal Forest’ in the state, the Minister said that Haryana would soon have a first of its kind ‘World Herbal Forest’ where as many as 25,000 saplings of different varieties from all over world would be planted. Swami Ram Dev besides promoting Yoga and Ayurveda would also provide his assistance in setting up this Herbal Forest project.
The Sports Minister said that Herbal Forest would give boost to world-class herbal tourism and students of Ayurveda from all over the world would get opportunity to learn about varied varieties of herbs at one place. For providing education of Ayurveda, Homeopathy and other such faculties, the Shri Krishana Ayurvedic University, Kurukshetra have been given the status of Ayush University for which necessary proceedings are in progress. This would help in getting trained doctors in all wings of Ayush in the State, he added.
