A minor fire in the Haryana Civil Secretariat building in Sector 1 here on Thursday led to a scare among people.
The fire broke out at the first floor of the building. Three fire engines were rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire. No casualty was reported in the incident. The fire broke out near the CISF canteen located on the first floor of the Haryana side of the Punjab and Haryana Secretariat here, said Police.
The fire was noticed in the building in the morning before the government offices opened for work. Police said short circuiting seemed to be the cause and investigations are on.

Hundreds of employees and officers work in the secretariat complex which is located in the high security zone of Sector 1 Capitol Complex in the city.
