Holding the Congress party responsible for 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the Union Minister for Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Sunday said the files related to attack on Sri Darbar Sahib during the Operation Bluestar should be made public so that the truth is brought before people.

Harsimrat, after distributing grants to panchayats during sangat darshan, said that the files related to most pious place for Sikhs be made public when tanks and cannons were used in precincts of the holy place so that people know the truth behind this horrendous episode.

With the details coming out, the directions issued at that time too would be made public, she said adding that the roles of Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar will be re-investigated in the entire episode on the basis of facts that were concealed.  Answering media query on Punjab's economical health, she said that the state's financial condition was totally strong.

Condemning the misleading campaign launched by opposition,  the Union Minister said since the State was in pink of financial health, it was able to successfully implement a large number of welfare schemes in states.

IN the last nine years, state has set new records of development and implementation of welfare schemes for its people, she said.

She added that the opposition should refrain from giving political color to developmental issues.

On being asked about the new affidavit filed in Supreme Court by the Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi government pertaining to SYl, Harsimrat said the dual politics of AAP in the election year has been exposed. She added that the flip-flop statements of AAP and its chief on SYl issue proves that the party leadership say different things at different times and hence people should beware of such politicians.

The Union Minister told Kejriwal that if he really was supporter of Punjab's water, he should file an affidavit in court stating that he stood by Punjab Government on this issue.
