'Everyone is busy in projecting as CM candidate in Haryana'

Kumar Jivesh

Former Union Minister and president of Jan Chetna Party, Venod Sharma on Sunday said that ahead of upcoming Assembly polls in Haryana, every person is busy projecting himself as next Chief Minister of the State.

He said that the State has become number-one in terms of number of prospective Chief Ministerial candidates for the assembly polls instead of becoming number one in terms of development.

Sharma while addressing a public meeting at Beri town in Jhajjar town, lashed out at rival political parties, saying that the candidates of every party are just trying to project themselves as the next Chief Minister of the state even when they are not able to become a sarpanch.

He accused the state government of not taking care of the public interests for the last nine years. “Now, the people will teach the Congress a lesson in the coming assembly election for ignoring their interest,” he added.

Sharma maintained that the Haryana Staff Selection Commission and Haryana public service commission is behaving like Simon commission just giving jobs to the near dear ones.

“The interview system creates a big hurdle for the deserving candidates as the job is given to the candidates with political linkage. We are not against the reservation system in the jobs recruitment but deserving candidates should get the job. We want that interview system should be abolished and there should transparency in the job recruitment,” said he.

Sharma also talked about the ongoing recruitment drive in the police department. “When the government has already fixed the parameters like height, weight, chest, race, jump etc there is no need of conducting interview but it is being done to accommodate the undeserving candidates,” he added.
