An elderly couple was found murdered inside their house at Neemawala area on the Sampla road here on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Saheb Singh and his wife Sunita. Exact reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.

The police have started investigation after registering a case of murder against their son-in-law, Parvesh, and daughter, Deepika, under relevant sections of the India Penal Code (IPC) in this regard. The duo had been residing with the deceased at the house for around one year.

The incident came to light Tuesday’s morning when Parvesh informed the police about killing of his father-in-law and mother-in-law. "Parvesh told the police that Saheb and Sunita used to sleep outside the house daily. They had gone to sleep as usual last night too but found murdered in a room when he and his wife Deepika came down from the roof-top this morning,” said Jhajjar SP Anil Dhawan, adding that Parvesh and Deepika used to sleep on the roof-top.

“We have arrested Parvesh and Deepika after booking them under different sections of the IPC. The couple is being

interrogated to ascertain the exact reason behind the killing,”

said Dhawan.
