Dhumal flays State budget

PNS

Former Himachal Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Monday criticised the State budget tabled by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, terming it directionless and visionless with no people centric schemes.

Dhumal on Monday initiated the debate on the budget and quoted several figures from the previous budget tabled by him.

He said that several aspects remained untouched and even freedom fighters were neglected by the Government.

“This budget is just 7.5 per cent more than the last year’s budget and is insufficient budget based on the proposed annual plan of Rs4,100 crore. State Government is seeking Rs2,000 crore special assistance packages from Central Government hopefully the State get it,” he said.
