Punjab SCs, BCs Welfare Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot on Tuesday gave a clear-cut warning for all concerned that misuse, even of a single penny, in the welfare grants meant for the welfare of SC and BCs would not be tolerated by the Government.
Dharamsot, chairing a high level meeting of the District Welfare Officers from all districts, said that Punjab Government has initiated various schemes for the welfare of the SCs, BCs and other minorities.
“It is the prime duty of officers to confer the benefits of these schemes to the needy in a transparent manner,” he said.
