Ahead of the pronouncement of verdict by a special CBI court in Panchkula in a rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief on August 25, his followers have started gathering at Panchkula.
Thousands of Dera followers reached Panchkula on Tuesday. Keeping in view the sensitive situation, Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula, Gauri Prashar Joshi convened a meeting with Dera followers and urged them to lend support to the district administration in maintaining peace and law and order situation.
She said that district administration has made adequate arrangements in view of the safety of the lives and property of the people.
MlA Panchkula, Gian Chand Gupta also appealed the Dera supporters to cooperate in maintaining peace and do not spoil the environment in any means. They should respect the court decision, whatever it is, he said.
