Dera’s political wing chairman, Ram Singh while talking to The Pioneer said that a meeting has been convened on May 8 to decide on giving our support to a political party in the Lok Sabha elections.
At present, our office bearers including district presidents and block incharges are taking feedback from Dera premis (supporters) in the region, he said.
When asked whether there is an anti-BJP sentiment among Dera followers after the arrest of Sect chief Ram Rahim, he said that there is no such feeling among them. As far as support to a political party is concerned, the sangat will decide it unanimously on May 8, he added.
Earlier on April 29, lakhs of premis had gathered at Dera to celebrate its foundation day but nothing related to general elections was discussed, he added.
