In an attempt to win back the Assembly constituencies where it had lost for past 15-20 years, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee had asked the Cabinet Ministers to campaign in such areas.
The HPCC president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has even appointed Cabinet Ministers after consultation with AICC and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to hold meetings in those constituencies where the party has lost elections in the last 15-20 years.
The HPCC spokesperson Naresh Chauhan said that keeping in view the upcoming lok Sabha elections, Congress has decided to appoint Ministers for conducting meeting in these constituencies where Congress was losing elections consistently. “We have identified 10 constituencies where we have lost elections consistently in the last 15-20 years and the Cabinet Ministers have been asked to attend monthly meetings in these constituencies to solve the problems,” Chauhan said.
Chauhan further said that the Ministers will conduct monthly meeting in these constituencies in coordination with the block presidents and block observers of the areas.
